WHAT IS THE BEST SOFTWARE FOR ME?
There is no simple answer. The older software works, but it takes a long time to learn and use. If you want to spend your time making money, you need modern software you can use right away, without expensive training or a long learning curve. For most busy people, the best is software you will actually use.
WHAT COMPUTER DO I NEED?
PowerMate Software, LLC™ products work on almost any industry standard modern computer. It runs on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000 and XP. It even works on Macintosh and Macintosh System X. If your computer runs, you can probably run PowerMate Software™.
CAN I INSTALL IT ON MORE THAN ONE COMPUTER?
Yes. We license most products so that you can install it on every computer you use and every computer your assistant(s) uses. Classified Simplified Pro™ can be licensed for up to 100 users, and it can work directly from Agent Business Builder™!
HOW MUCH DISK SPACE DO I NEED?
Forget those 40 or 100 MB programs! Agent Business Builder™, AtoZ Business Builder™ and Team Builder™ are very compact and powerful databases. You need about 11 MB disk space to install. As you add contacts, they will grow. With 500 contacts, you will need about 16 MB of disk space. Classified Simplified Pro™ takes about 6 MB and Recipe Builder™ needs about 10 MB.
HOW MUCH DO UPGRADES and UPDATES COST?
We roll all the little changes and improvements we’ve made over the past year in with the latest version of the calendar and planner and publish an annual Agent Business Builder™ January update, normally priced around $40. When we have a major feature upgrade, such as when Agent Business Builder™ version 3.0 came out with 22 new features, including built-in e-mail and many other benefits, it may cost more. In any case, it is a good value. We want our customers using the latest and best.
CAN I USE MY NAMES FROM ANOTHER CONTACT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM?
Yes. Export your current customer lists into text or ASCII, and then import them into our customer relationship management (CRM) systems. A section in the manual explains how this is done. It’s not hard, and while it takes some time, it is faster than re-typing the information. Our Tech Support can help, if you need it. Names from Real Estate Address Book™ and Letter Writer can be imported easily into Agent Business Builder™.
WHAT IS REAL ESTATE ADDRESS BOOK™ AND LETTER WRITER?
Real Estate Address Book™ and Letter Writer is the fastest way to get up-and-running with computers for Realtors®. It uses the same powerful data base as Agent Business Builder™ , but does not include the Planner and Calendar, Sales Tools, Pre-loaded Letters, Property Profiles or Escrow Tracking modules. It’s a good way to start, and it doesn’t cost much.
DOES IT WORK WITH A POSTCARD SYSTEM?

Of course, you can generate mailing labels and use other postcards. PowerMate Software’s™ programs are designed for effective relationship marketing. They make an ideal complement to several effective postcard systems. You can create camera ready messages to take to a print or copy center, or finish them directly with your own printer.
HOW DO I GET PICTURES INTO MY FLYERS?
Easy. Click the Get Picture button and find the picture file on your diskette or hard disk. Kinkos can scan your photo, or use a digital camera, scanner, or any of several other methods to create the disk file. Specify jpeg, pic, or tif format for easiest import with the best quality. Regular 35mm pictures can be put onto a CD ROM with Kodak Photo CD, a high quality and cost effective solution. Most MLS systems let you download pictures.
WHAT IS THE COMPETITIVE UPGRADE PROGRAM?
Many users of the older software programs are trading in their old software for Agent Business Builder™ Professional. You may have spent a lot of money in the past for something you don’t like or can’t or won’t use.
